Citibank

Citibank offers what it calls a Citigold wealth management service. If you have a balance of £150,000, maintained for three months, Citi offers £500 as a welcome reward. For those who qualify for the private client membership – with a balance of £650,000 – then the bank rewards £1,000.

When you become a private client, you get a number of exclusive privileges as well, such as access to airport lounges around the globe, a multi-lingual 24/7 concierge service and a wide range of experiences and offers that include fine dining, VIP package to the Olivier Awards or the great London gin walk.

With the bank’s partnership program, clients get further exclusive offers and invitations from a number of brands like the English National Opera, Dubai Mall or Pininfarina, an Italian design house.

Coutts

Thank you from Coutts is a service that’s available exclusively to Silk cardholders. It offers gifts and experiences to those who annually spend £25,000 on their Silk card and then at higher spend levels until £1 million is reached.

Experiences on offer range from chauffeur driven Bentley factory tours to Italian cookery classes at the Lime Wood Hotel in New Forest. Other perks through this service include the ability to donate to children’s charity Coram, a range of Apple products, custom-made pens from Montblanc for left or right-handed people, and tableware and crystal for the home.

HSBC

A golden key decorated with a single Jade greets those entering HSBC’s exclusive invite-only membership program, accompanied by the words: ‘unlock the door to an enchanting world…’

The membership, available for those who have a minimum of $1 million (£712,000) to $5 million (£3.6 million) in investable assets, brings with it a lifestyle management and concierge service that includes anything from getting your name on a guest list to finding the best schools for your children. Clients can also get advice on investing in a cellar or just buying a range of wines from Berry Bros & Rudd.

From travel to VIP access to gallery openings, to privileged access to home cinema sound systems designed by Bower & Wilkins, this service for HSBC Premier customers offers it all.

Lloyds

Lloyds clients can either get a private banking current account or a Mayfair current account. With both services, clients get a private banking and advice manager, as well as one of three lifestyle benefits every year. The Mayfair account is suited to customers with at least £2 million of savings and investments, whereas the private banking account can be accessed with £250,000 in savings and investments.

The lifestyle benefits on offer include a Gourmet Society dining membership, a choice of magazine subscription or six cinema tickets.

Investec

If you earn a minimum of £300,000 a year or have a net worth in excess of £3 million, you can become a private banking client at Investec, which comes with its own set of perks.

Partnering with TEN Lifestyle Management, the bank offers what it calls a ‘Voyage’ concierge service. This provides access to sold out events and more than 900 ‘of the world’s top restaurants’. The lifestyle manager can also help with everything from running your daily life to planning your travel. You also get AXA worldwide travel insurance for you and your family.

‘A doorway to memorable experiences and inspirational articles’ is how Barclays defines its Little Book of Wonders – an exclusive collection of events and thought pieces for selected clients. From a 007-themed day with Aston Martin, to being a zookeeper for a day with the Aspinall Foundation and VIP seats at a fashion show in Paris, clients can choose five experiences each year.
