Wells Fargo hires Schroders man to head multi-asset

Wells Fargo Asset Management has hired Schroders’ head of US portfolio solutions to run its multi-asset portfolio team.

Dan Morris joins the firm as global head of portfolio solutions within Wells Fargo’s multi-asset solutions team.

Morris will report to Nicolaas Marais, president and head of multi-asset solutions, and will be based in London.

Joining alongside Morris are Martijn De Vree and Frank Cooke. De Vree arrives from Insight Investment, where he was a senior solutions expert, and Cooke joins from Mercer, where he served as a senior investment consultant.

‘The addition of Dan, Martijn, Frank, and Jonathon to our team is a significant step forward as we build out our innovative multi-asset solutions team,’ said Marais.

‘These leaders bring a depth of experience to the platform that will play a crucial role in creating unlock moments for clients.’

Before joining Schroders, Morris led Towers Watson’s London investment strategy team, advising clients on asset allocation, hedging, and downside protection strategies.

De Vree and Cooke both started their careers as investment consultants at Towers Watson.
