Wealth boutique Dolfin hires Hassium CIO

Wealth boutique Dolfin has hired Simon Black as a senior wealth manager as it seeks to bolster its appeal to high net worth (HNW) and ultra high net worth (UHNW) investors.

In his newly created role within the firm's sales team, Black will be responsible for bespoke portfolio design as part of the firm’s ‘one-stop-shop’ service to private clients and financial advisers.

He joins Dolfin from Hassium Asset Management, where he worked for 11 years, most recently as chief investment officer.

Black said: ‘Dolfin combines a highly experienced investment team with the agility of advanced technology to provide solutions in the best interest of clients.

‘I look forward to delivering this truly differentiated offering to clients over the long term.’

Dolfin’s head of sales Georgios Ercan said Black’s experience will support the firm’s wider strategy as it works to expand beyond its tech-driven offering.

The hire comes one month after that of Nick McCall, the former chief executive of Hay Hill Wealth Management, joined the business as head of wealth management.
