UBS Global Wealth Management has hired Amir Sadr to head up its London-based emerging markets unit.
Sadr has significant experience working with high net worth individuals in the Middle East, most recently as co-head of Middle East at Coutts.
Prior to that, he was head of the institutional client group and family office group EMEA at Merrill Lynch.
Sadr’s hire follows three senior appointments in UBS' London emerging markets team in October 2017.
In his new capacity, he will lead the team of relationship managers and investment advisors from London, a key centre for emerging markets and international clients for UBS.
Eva Lindholm, head of UBS Wealth Management, UK & Jersey, commented: ‘The emerging markets are an integral part of our overall growth strategy, as they continue to mature and grow in importance.
'Amir’s business acumen and international experience, as well as exemplary client leadership, make him the ideal candidate to oversee the development of our team in London.’
