UBS has named a new head of investment platforms and solutions (IPS) for the UK and Jersey.
Andrea Franceschetto was previously head of IPS for emerging markets and Monaco, based in Zurich. He will be replacing Paddy Lewis, who has held the position since 2015, but will be leaving the company at the end
Franceschetto first joined UBS in Zurich in 2010, and he has held senior roles in investment risk measurement and discretionary portfolio management since then.
UBS’ UK and Jersey boss Eva Lindholm (pictured) previously told Wealth Manager that the Swiss bank is looking to significantly grow its market share in the UK, which is currently only 4%.
The UK and Jersey wealth business has £45.1 billion in assets under management across 8,600 clients.
The bank said that in the coming years, the investment platforms and solutions arm will play a key role in this future growth.
The division has products across all major asset classes, alongside private equity, hedge funds, venture capital trusts, enterprise investment schemes and sustainable investments.
