Tilney replenishes Aberdeen hub after Charles Stanley exits

Tilney replenishes Aberdeen hub after Charles Stanley exits

Tilney has announced its third hire in Aberdeen this year, with the appointment of Jonathan Craig as a financial planner.

Craig joins Tilney from Acumen Financial Planning, where he was head of corporate services. He will report to head of the Aberdeen office Euan Milne.

The hire comes after news that Charles Stanley poached two from Tilney to set up an office in the Scottish city. Branch head Scott Morrison and financial planner Linda Edward joined the firm to open the branch earlier this month.

The hire of Craig is the third in the Aberdeen office for Tilney following the appointment of John Milne in October and Lisa Gaskin in the client devliery team.

Craig has two decades' worth of experience in financial services.

He joined Acumen in 2014, where he advised businesses on workplace pensions, auto-enrolment and group protection, as well as private clients.

He previously also worked for Brewin Dolphin, Central Investment Services and Aegon. Tilney's newest financial planner started life in the financial industry at Scottish Widows.

Head of Tilney's Scotland and Northern Ireland operations, Paul Frame, said: 'We are really delighted to welcome Jonathan to our team in Aberdeen.

'As we go into 2019, we will continue to look to add new people across our offices in Scotland, including high calibre financial planners and investment managers as we see excellent opportunities ahead.'

Last month, Ben Roberts left Brooks Macdonald to become investment director of Tilney's Manchester office.
