Tilney adds two more in Scotland recruitment drive

Tilney has maintained a hectic pace of recruitment in Scotland with the appointment of senior investment manager Debbie Hair in Edinburgh and financial planner John Milne in Aberdeen.

Hair joins from New York’s Coleman Research following an 18 month period as a business development associate. She previously worked at Vestra in London and Brown Shipley in Edinburgh.

Milne joins from Lloyds Wealth Management, having spent six years in the bank’s Aberdeen office as a financial planner, and previously serving as senior financial adviser at Bank of Scotland.

The company has, by an informal Wealth Manager tally, recruited four fee-earning planners or managers in Scotland this year, having hired PwC’s head of Scottish advisory Bruce Saunderson in 2017, alongside a sustained push on recruitment across the UK.

Tilney head of Scotland and Northern Ireland Paul Frame (pictured) said: ‘[John and Debbie] join at a very exciting time of growth and expansion for the business, both here in Scotland and across the wider UK.

‘We will continue to look to add new talent in Scotland and are currently seeing considerable interest from some very high calibre professionals.’
