Thesis Asset Management’s rising star Gaurav Gupta has left the firm to join Punter Southall Investment Consulting.
Gupta, who has been a regular fixture in both the Wealth Manager Top 30 Under 30 and Top 100, will start at the London-based firm later this month.
As a senior investment analyst, Gupta (pictured) will be managing a small team with a focus on fund selection and portfolio construction for pension mandates.
Gupta told Wealth Manager: ‘I am looking forward to joining Punter Southall and starting a new chapter of my career. I aim to bring across my experiences in fund manager research and portfolio construction, whilst learning more about defined benefit pension schemes to cater to their growing base of institutional clients.’
Punter Southall provides investment services to a range of institutional clients and has £2 billion of assets under management (AUM) and more than £8 billion assets under advice.
At Thesis, Gupta was co-manager of its model portfolio service, which has 550 clients and £250 million AUM.
He also led fund selection in fixed income, Europe, private equity and global sectors, and was a member of the fixed income committee.
