Stonehage Fleming acquires leading HNW adviser

Stonehage Fleming has acquired FF&P Wealth Planning for an undisclosed sum.

As part of the acquisition, managing partner and former Wealth Manager coverstar Richard Bertin will join the board of Stonehage Fleming, alongside his colleagues Susie Hillier and William Tudhope.

The firm will be rebranded Stonehage Fleming Wealth Planning and sit alongside Stonehage Fleming's ultra high net worth client services.

London-based FF&P Wealth Planning, was launched in 2011 following a strategic partnership between Asquith & Partners and Fleming Family & Partners. It provides planning and investment advice services to wealthy individuals and families.

Stonehage Fleming chief executive of investments Anton Stenberg (pictured): 'The UK is a key strategic market for Stonehage Fleming and we are seeing an increasing demand from our clients for long-term financial planning and advice.

'With the combination of wealth planning, [a] family office and investment management, we believe that we have an exceptional proposition to meet the needs of wealthy clients, both domestic and international.'

Stonehage and Fleming Family & Partners merged in 2014, creating a global multi-family office with more than $40 billion (£32.2 billion) in assets and 500 employees across 11 offices.

Following the merger, the firm was rebranded as Stonehage Fleming and continued to have a close relationship with FF&P Wealth Planning.
