The LF Tellworth UK Smaller Companies fund will launch in November and will invest in listed companies with a market cap of £50 million to £2 billion.
The duo left Schroders last year to set up Tellworth Investments. As part of their exit, they took the management contracts of the Schroder UK Dynamic Absolute Return fund and the Schroder Absolute Return fund company with them.
The new fund will sit alongside the £500 million absolute return strategy, which returned 14.7% over three years versus a sector average of 8.2%.
Marriage (pictured) said: 'Having managed a similar fund since 2006 at both Cazenove and Schroders, John and I are delighted to be launching this fund and look forward to discovering more UK gems for our clients in the coming years.'
Prior to launching Tellworth, Marriage managed the Schroder UK Dynamic Smaller Companies fund. Warren joined him in 2010.
Tellworth was set up under the umbrella of BennBridge, which recently launched in London to provide operational and infrastructure support to boutique fund management teams. Tellworth was the first asset manager backed by BennBridge, the UK subsidiary of Australian venture capital investor Bennelong Funds.
Following the launch of Tellworth, the pair also recruited Schroders’ equity trading specialist Stephen Nash.
