Schroders’ global income multi-asset head departs

Schroders’ head of multi-asset global income Aymeric Forest has left the business to pursue opportunities outside of the company.

Fund manager Remi Olu-Pitan will take over Forest’s responsibilities, including the management of his $3.98 billion (£2.96 million) Global Multi-Asset Income fund. Olu-Pitan has been with Schroders since 2006.

Forest (pictured), who has been at the company for seven years, will officially leave the firm in the first quarter of 2019.

His Schroder ISF Global Multi-Asset Income fund has fallen slightly short of its peers over the past three years to the end of August, returning 28.8% in a sector where the average fund returned 32.2%

Ugo Montrucchio, head of multi-asset investments in Europe, will take over his other portfolios.

Prior to joining Schroders, Forest was head of global investment solutions at BBVA. Before that, he was head of tactical asset allocation quantitative strategies for Fortis Investments.

Forest’s performance is up 25.8% over the past three years, significantly lagging behind his peers, who on average returned 37.5%.

A Schroders spokesperson said: ‘Aymeric Forest will be leaving Schroders to pursue opportunities outside of the company. We thank him for his contribution over the last seven years and wish him success in the future.’
