Ruffer is to open an office in Paris to cater for European clients following Brexit, Wealth Manager can reveal.
The firm received approval from French regulator ACPR for the office on 13 May.
Ruffer investment director David Moos, who has been with the business since 2011, will lead the Paris office.
Moos (pictured below) will initially be supported by two people in Paris and another on secondment from Ruffer's London headquarters.
Ruffer said the Paris office is a 'natural extension' of its efforts to serve continental European clients, which have been looked after from London since 2010.
Benjamin Boucher-Ferté, head of the international team at Ruffer, said: 'We are setting up a permanent presence in Paris to support our international development and to continue to serve our clients in continental Europe after Brexit.
'We are pleased that David Moos will be leading our office, at the starting point of the next European chapter for our firm.'
Ruffer employs more than 280 people and controlled £20.9 billion in assets at 30 April.
The new Paris office sits alongside existing bases in London, Edinburgh, Hong Kong and Guernsey.
