Royal London launches funds for ex-Waverton trio

Royal London Asset Management has launched two global equity funds for ex-Waverton trio, Peter Rutter, Will Kenney and James Clarke.

All three fund managers joined from Waverton Investment Management at the beginning of the year. They will co-manage the Royal London Global Equity Select and Global Equity Diversified funds, targeting companies with a focus on shareholder returns, which trade on attractive valuations.

Royal London Global Equity Select will hold between 25 to 40 stocks across developed and emerging markets.

The fund is benchmark agnostic, aiming to outperform the MSCI World TR index by 2.5% each year on a rolling three-year basis.

Royal London Global Equity Diversified will invest broadly in line with the MSCI World TR index. The fund targets 0.5% outperformance each year on a rolling three-year basis.

‘Having seen significant client demand for global equity products, we’re pleased to offer clients a pair of strategies which can harness the time-tested approach of our new global equity team,’ said Piers Hillier, chief investment officer at Royal London Asset Management.

Royal London estimates an ongoing charge of 0.7% for the Global Equity Select fund and 0.4% for the Global Equity Diversified fund.
