Saranac Partners has appointed Steven Edwards as head of financing and solutions, following the departure of Julian Griffiths to Credit Suisse.
Griffiths had worked at the wealth boutique for two years and – like many members of Saranac’s team – formerly worked at Barclays Wealth & Investment Management.
He has moved to Credit Suisse to take on a managing director role.
Griffiths has been replaced by Edwards, who joins from Ares Management, where he focused on real estate investments.
Client adviser Emma Denning has also left the business after an 18-month stint. She had previously worked alongside ex-Kleinwort Benson colleague Jeremy Brown at Saranac, and is understood to be taking a break from the industry.
In early March, Wealth Manager revealed that David Giampaolo had stepped back as managing partner at Saranac but remains an adviser. His appointment had followed ex-Barclays Wealth chief Tom Kalaris’s decision to step down as a director in June 2016. He initially set up Saranac in May 2015 and remains a shareholder.
It is understood that a successor has been identified for Giampaolo and will be announced in due course.
