Q&A with Lester Petch, CEO, TAM Asset Management, London:
What is your typical client demographic?
We do not have a typical demographic, owing to our mission to provide every type of investor with professional investment management.
We seek to serve a broad market with our accessible, diversified range of investment options and solutions.
What differentiates your location?
It has to be the cosmopolitanism. There is nowhere in the world quite like London town!
What challenges are facing your area?
Operating in the City – London’s financial hub – as a boutique investment manager brings great opportunities; but with great opportunity brings greater competition.
What’s the best thing about living in your area?
Where to start? London is one of the most historical, diverse and multi-cultural capitals. We are spoilt for choice with the array of art galleries and museums, restaurants and bars, theatre productions and live music events in every London borough.
But if ever you exhaust what London has to offer (highly unlikely!) you can hop on the Eurostar and be in Paris or Brussels in less than two and a half hours!
What’s a typical regional saying?
‘Severe delays on the Northern line!’
‘Shall I call an Uber?’
What is your office motto?
Think outside the box; in a world full of sheep, be a cow!
