Q&A with Simon Prescott, senior business developer, intermediaries, Nedbank Private Wealth - London:

What is your typical client demographic?
Our typical private clients tend to have already built a sizeable proportion of their wealth and are heading towards their later working lives and retirement. They are mainly UK residents with an international dimension to their circumstances: this could be non-UK domicile, owning overseas properties or overseas business interests.

What differentiates your region?
Nedbank Private Wealth London is an onshore office of an award-winning offshore island bank, and so attracts clients with overseas interests who require a high level of expertise from both UK and offshore professionals from a UK office.

What challenges are facing your area?
The attractiveness of London to wealthy foreigners faced with the potential uncertainties of Brexit and the signals the politicians are sending out. The pressure on the city's infrastructure, which is creaking under the weight of people coming into London to work and visit each day.

What’s a typical regional saying?
'Brexit, Brexit, Brexit,' as it seems to be the thing most people talk about currently.

What’s the best thing about living in your area?
The great diversity of people and cultures in London, plus the huge variety of experiences on offer.

What is your office motto?
To serve our clients better than any other financial services organisation.
