London & Capital hires institutional boss

London & Capital has hired Kate Miller from River & Mercantile investment consultancy P-Solve to serve as its head of institutions.

The company, headed by Daniel Freedman (pictured), currently runs £757 million on behalf of institutional clients.

Miller was a director of P-Solve, where she had worked since 2011, having previously worked as chief operations officer at Meridian Investment Consultancy.

She will be based in London and will report to L&C partner William Dalzeil, who said: ‘I am delighted that we have found someone of Kate’s calibre to take the team forward.

‘Kate’s background, which combines several years’ experience as an investment manager and over a decade as a consultant, selecting investment managers for Insurance Company clients, makes her uniquely suited to continue to strategically develop and grow our institutional business.’

Miller added: ‘I am proud to join L&C and build on the growth the institutional business has achieved over the past ten years. L&C has gained a strong reputation for its service-orientated approach, blending excellent client service with a differentiated approach to investment.'
