Lloyds Private Bank portfolio boss hires ex-Close colleague

Lloyds Private Bank portfolio boss Jon Wingent has recruited former Close Brothers Asset Management colleague Christopher Ighodaro.

Ighodaro joins Lloyds Wealth Investment Office as a portfolio specialist.

Wingent (pictured) joined Lloyds from Close last October as head of portfolio specialists, a division within the bank that was established in 2015. The business provides investment support and technical knowledge to Lloyds private banking units across the UK and offshore.

During a six-year spell at Close Ighodaro served as portfolio director where he was responsible for presenting the investment proposition to financial professionals. He has also held roles at UBS, Transact and Mercer, where he consulted on a wide variety of investments and tax-related services.

Commenting on the appointment Wingent said: 'Chris enhances the investment expertise at Lloyds Private Banking, strengthening an accomplished team of investment experts.

'His credentials in working with private clients and developing and delivering strong investment advice make him the ideal candidate for this role.'
