LGIM poaches Jupiter retail sales boss James Crossley

James Crossley has joined Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) as head of its UK retail sales division.

He moves from Jupiter Asset Management, where held a similar role overseeing the UK retail distribution and sales team as head of retail sales.

He will report to Honor Solomon, the firm’s head of retail for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Solomon (pictured) said: “The UK remains a core focus for us. James is highly experienced in UK sales management and we know he is highly thought of by many of our partners.

‘I am thrilled he has joined the team and look forward to working closely with him.’

Simon Hynes, who formerly held the job, has now moved to the newly created role of head of retail distribution, EMEA, in which he is takes with growing LGIM’s wholesale distribution capacity and ETF business following its acquisition of the Canvas ETF platform earlier this year.

Hynes said: ‘Having worked with James previously at Jupiter I am delighted to be working with him again.

‘He will be a great addition to LGIM as we continue to service our clients in areas where we are expanding our regional footprint.’

Crossley added: ‘The UK retail market is changing rapidly and by working more closely with financial advisers, wealth managers and distributors, I believe we can be at the forefront of delivery of the investment solutions UK investors require today.’
