Kleinwort Hambros appoints Guernsey private bank boss

Kleinwort Hambros has promoted Matt Falla as head of private banking in its Guernsey office and deputy head of private banking across its Channel Islands business.

Based in Guernsey, Falla will be tasked with building the business strategy to provide banking and investment services to domestic, international clients and financial intermediaries.

Falla joined what was then SGPB Hambros in December 2005 as a senior private banker from HSBC International Fund Distribution, where he was a regional manager for its Middle East & African intermediary based clients.

In 2011, Matt was appointed head of the financial intermediaries team in Jersey, progressing over the next few years to be promoted to group head in 2015.

Clive Wright, head of private banking Channel Islands at Kleinwort Hambros said: ‘We are delighted that Matt has taken up the role of head of private banking in Guernsey and deputy head of private banking, Channel Islands, as we look to further strengthen and expand this part of the business.

‘Kleinwort Hambros’ work across the Channel Islands is designed to help support the local growth ambition and position us as the trusted partner of choice for local residents and family offices.’
