Kames Capital has hired credit analyst Bjorn Norrman to its fixed income team as it seeks to rebuild its bench following a staff exodus.
Norrman previously spent eight years at Fitch Ratings, where he was senior director of financial institutions.
Kames suffered a number of departures last November and has been trying to rebuild the now 22-strong team since.
Norrman joins recent recruit Laurent Frings, who was brought in from Aberdeen Asset Management as head of credit research in December.
Kames' new financial credit research analyst will work alongside Frings, head of credit Iain Buckle and Alex Pelteshki.
He will report to Kames’ head of fixed income, Adrian Hull.
Hull said: ‘Bjorn, with over eight years’ credit rating experience, will be a valuable addition to our fixed income team, as we look to further strengthen it following the appointment of Laurent in December.
'Working within the financial credit research team, he will work alongside our investment managers, helping develop ideas and strategies for their funds.'
Kames Capital’s chief investment officer Stephen Jones said: ‘The addition of Bjorn underlines our continued commitment to broaden and strengthen our fixed income team, bringing together a range of experience and skill sets to our 22-strong team.
'It also again highlights how we will move quickly and decisively to reinforce the team when we identify a suitable candidate to fit into our team based investment approach.’
