Julius Baer International has appointed ex-Barclays Wealth and Investment director Calum Brewster to spearhead its regional push.
Brewster joins Julius Baer as managing director and head of its UK regional offices.
Based in Edinburgh, he will report to David Durlacher, chief executive of Julius Baer International.
The appointment comes after Wealth Manager revealed last year the firm had hired a number of Barclays alumni to open a number of branches across the country, including Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh.
‘I am delighted to welcome Calum to the firm,’ said Durlacher.
‘His appointment comes at a crucial point in our growth strategy, and his expertise and extensive leadership experience will be a major asset as we continue to provide our clients with an exceptional wealth management offering in the UK and Ireland.’
Brewster (pictured) joined the firm at the end of 2017 and sits the firm’s executive committee.
Before Julius Baer, Brewster worked at Barclays Wealth & Investment Management where he was managing director for Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England.
Prior to that, he was head of client experience and strategy at Lloyds Banking Group and head of client services at Scottish Widows.
Brewster added: ‘I am excited to be joining Julius Baer and to be given the opportunity to drive our regional strategy across the UK and Ireland.’
