JO Hambro Capital Management investment director Sandy Black has left the company.
Former Wealth Manager cover star Black had initially joined the fund management house in 2010 from Insight Investment, where he had been head of equities. At JOHCM, he replaced outgoing director Vicky Hastings when he joined.
Black also previously served as head of the European equities team at Deutsche Asset Management.
A spokesperson at JOHCM said: ‘Sandy Black, investment director, left JOHCM at the end of February. We are in the process of hiring his replacement.’
It has been a mixed bag in terms of staff turnover at JOHCM over the last year. After its former chief executive Gavin Rochussen left the company in January 2017, industry veteran John Wood also announced his retirement.
Later in the year however, the company hired Giorgio Caputo and Lale Topcuoğlu to spearhead its new global multi-asset income strategy.
In November 2017, it was revealed that the company is being investigated by the FCA over dealing commissions, the outcome of which is currently unknown.
