iShares director joins Vanguard to launch research team

Marco Corsi, former regional director of product research at iShares, has joined Vanguard's new London ETF research team.

Corsi, formerly head of product innovation and research in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will be founding head of Vanguard's Global ETF Research Centre, studying ETFs and ETF investors.

Axel Lomholt, head of international ETFs at Vanguard, said: 'We are establishing a dedicated research team to address critical global ETF issues to produce perspective that will be topical and insightful to investors, regulators, and influencers.

'As a global ETF leader, Vanguard looks forward to producing world-class research on this widely adopted investment product and its use by various types of investors.'

Vanguard currently manages $968.1 billion (£741 billion) in ETF assets.

Corsi previously worked at Decura, Barclays and Merrill Lynch. His team will collaborate with other Vanguard research groups across the world.
