Hackers devise many cunning plans to attack individuals and businesses: they use malicious email links, ransomware or simply disguise as IT professionals and install data-stealing devices to people’s desktops in person.
Speaking at Citywire South East event this week, computer security expert Graham Cluley explained the extraordinary impact hacking has as cybercrime becomes more prolific.
‘Organisations may wonder if they can totally be protected from hackers and the truth is there is not 100% protection. But you can dramatically reduce the threats,’ he said.
He went on to give advice on how to keep your devices and data safe. 'Not all hackers are geniuses,' he said. Some of them 'are really quite dumb'.
