GAM has restructured portfolio responsibilities across a series of funds as the business grapples with the loss of 13 managers in 2018.
Wealth manager sister title Citywire Selector learned the changes, enacted in February, relate to a specialist fixed income strategy, a Japan equity fund and a thematic fund focused on luxury brands.
In December Citywire Selector revealed the names of managers set to leave the Swiss group, which coincided with the consolidation of its fixed income units and plans to combine its European equity operations.
Citywire Selector has now learned that Citywire A-rated managers Matthias Wildhaber and Laurence Kubli’s GAM Multibond – ABS fund is now overseen by AAA-rated managers Tom Mansley and Gary Singleterry (pictured).
Both Kubli and Wildhaber were among those announced as leaving last year. As was Scilla Huang Sun, whose GAM Multistock – Luxury Brands fund will be handed to Swetha Ramachandran from 8 March. Ramachandran has worked as an investment analyst at GAM since 2012.
