Multi-asset portfolio manager Stephen Lingard has left Franklin Templeton after 12 years at the firm, according to Citywire Selector.
As part of the multi-asset team, Lingard was senior vice president and portfolio manager on six funds. He earned a Citywire AA rating in 2015 and was + rated in 2016.
Based in Toronto, Lingard joined Franklin Templeton in 2007 as a fund manager, after spending 10 years at Fidelity International.
Following his departure, the Luxembourg‐registered Franklin NextStep Conservative, Moderate and Growth funds, will continue to be managed by existing co‐lead portfolio managers, Thomas Nelson, senior vice president and director of portfolio management, and May Tong, senior vice president and portfolio manager.
As for the Luxembourg‐registered Asia‐focused Franklin NextStep Stable Growth, Balanced Growth and Dynamic Growth funds, Thomas Nelson and May Tong will continue as co‐lead portfolio managers, Ricky Chau will continue as a portfolio manager, and Ian Riach will join as a portfolio manager on the funds.
