Rowan Dartington's former head of intermediary is to lead the UK wealth division of US-listed insurance brokerage giant Gallagher.
Bryan Parkinson has joined joining Gallgher Wealth as managing director with responsibility for the firm's several regional offices.
Parkinson (pictured) was Rowan Dartington's managing director of intermediary and international distribution but exited the wealth boutique along with Bristol head Kevin Bowhay Wealth Manager revealed earlier this month.
He had joined the firm in 2016 as regional director and became head of the IFA sales division in August last year.
Bowhay, former head of Bristol discretionary and Cheltenham, is now a senior client portfolio manager at Aberdeen Standard Capital, formerly Standard Life Wealth, according to his LinkedIn page.
Illinois-headquartered Gallagher offers insurance brokerage and risk management services across 150 countries, based on the firm's website.
It has several offices across the UK, where it mainly offers employee benefits and general insurance consulting as well as wealth and financial planning services.
Parkinson said: 'It is a real sign of the quality of the business that only on my first week with the firm, Gallagher Wealth appeared in sixth place overall out of the top eight firms in the country in The Times’ Guide to the UK’s Top Rated Financial Advisers, ranked according to client reviews.'
He added: 'At a time when the market for financial advice has grown by nearly a quarter over the last couple of years alone, these are exciting times for the sector and I look forward to leading the team as we further develop our proposition in line with ever-changing market needs.'
