A former Coutts banker has been hired to build a private banking business for a 64-year-old lender of Cypriot heritage.
Ravi Sidhoo is one of two hires at London-based Cynergy Bank. The other, Will Swain, joins from Swinton Group, where he was an executive operations director.
Cynergy Bank, a specialist bank helping business owners, entrepreneurs and family businesses, began life in 1955 as Bank of Cyprus UK.
The Bank of Cyprus UK was acquired by Cynergy Capital Limited in November 2018 and rebranded to Cynergy Bank in December 2018.
Sidhoo has been appointed managing director of the bank's private banking division.
At Coutts, he led a team addressing the business and personal needs of a mixed portfolio of UK and international customers for five years. Prior to this, he held senior private banking roles at Brown Shipley and HSBC.
Cynergy chief executive Nick Fahy (pictured) said: 'Ravi’s hire to develop and lead our new private and business banking offering has been borne out of us recognising that there is a huge opportunity to better meet the needs of business owners, family businesses and property entrepreneurs by providing a comprehensive set of services in a blended way.'
Cynergy has also hired Will Swain, who was group operations director at Swinton, to lead its customer service and fulfilment operations.
