Charles Stanley hires ex-Brewin divisional director

Charles Stanley has bolstered its branch in Eastbourne with the hire of ex-Brewin Dolphin divisional director Lydia Macdonald.

Macdonald will join the firm as an investment manager. At Brewin Dolphin, where she worked for 10 years, she managed discretionary private clients, ISAs, trusts and pensions.

Prior to that she worked for Barclays Wealth and ANZ Grindlays Private Bank after starting her career at Capel Cure Myers in 1986.

Branch manager James Smith commented: 'I am delighted to welcome Lydia to the Eastbourne team.

'Our office has been at the heart of the investment management community in the area for over twenty years and our success is built from dedication and commitment to our clients.

'As we grow our client base further and AUM, it is essential we continue to attract talent of the highest calibre, such as Lydia, to meet our clients’ evolving and diverse financial needs.'

Charles Stanley has been on a significant hiring push across its regional offices this year. Most recently it brought on three financial planners in Scotland from Tilney.
