Brown Shipley has hired Amrendra Sinha to the newly created role of head of direct equity.
Sinha joins the firm from AA Capital Analysts where he was a director. He will report to Toby Vaughan, who joined the firm in August as chief investment officer.
The appointment (pictured) is intended to strengthen the company's investment capabilities as it looks to develop its equity investment.
Vaughan said: 'I am delighted to welcome Amrendra to the Brown Shipley team. His industry expertise, spanning both UK and international stocks, will be invaluable in strengthening our investment proposition for clients.'
Sinha's recruitment comes after a series of hires for Brown Shipley. Most recently the firm bolstered its Manchester office, with the hire of Lee Ramsden from Barclays Wealth.
It also appointed Richard McGregor from Arbuthnot Latham to head up its court of protection and personal injury team.
