Brown Shipley has bolstered its Manchester office, with the hire of Lee Ramsden (pictured) from Barclays Wealth.
Ramsden, who has 13 years' experience in the financial industry, joins as client director.
The hire reinforces Brown Shipley's local strength following Tilney's recruitment of three Manchester staffers, including client director Andrew Ramsden in September.
At Barclays, Ramsden spent over six years in the private banking and wealth teams and was vice president of both divisions.
He previously worked at Towry as a wealth adviser and Lloyds TSB as a senior wealth planning manager.
Ramsden said: 'I am excited to be joining Brown Shipley at the beginning of what looks to be an exciting year of continued growth for the business.
'I look forward to working with the rest of the team and continuing to provide an excellent, fully integrated wealth management service to clients.'
Ramsden's appointment follows a spate of Brown Shipley hires.
Paul Smith made the move from Mazars in September, becoming a client director.
