Brooks hires James Hambro's Brookes for advice arm

Brooks Macdonald has bolstered its financial planning arm with a rival hire.

Simon Brookes joins the firm after five years with James Hambro & Partners, where he was a director of financial planning.  In total he has more than 15 years' experience.

Commenting on his new role, Brookes said:  ‘Brooks Macdonald is an extremely successful business, built on a great ethos of delivering independent holistic advice to its clients.

'The team consists of hugely experienced individuals and I am very much looking forward to working with them.’

The hires comes shortly after Brookes recruited former cricketing duo Andrew Davies and Will Bragg for its Welsh office. The pair both were professional cricketers at Glamorgan County Cricket Club.
