BlackRock's global equity team head to retire

The head of the global equity team at BlackRock Stuart Reeve is set to retire.

The fund manager will remain with the company until June 2019 after more than 13 years with the asset manager, Wealth Manager's sister title, Citywire Selector.

He has been managing BlackRock's global dividend strategy since 2010 and took on his current role as the head of the global equity team in 2016.

Following his departure. James Bristow and Andrew Wheatley-Hubbard will become co-heads of the global equity team.

Bristow has more than 21 years of investment experience and has been with the team since 2006. 

Meanwhile, Wheatley-Hubbard has been a named manager on the global dividend strategy since 2012, having joined the team in 2009.

The global equity team currently manages $15.7 billion (£12.4 billion) across multiple strategies, including $11 billion in the global dividend strategy.
