A-rated Konstantin Leidman ends six-year Schroders stint

Citywire A-rated fund manager Konstantin Leidman is leaving Schroders after six years in the role.

Leidman, who managed the Schroder ISF Global Credit Value fund, will leave in January to pursue other opportunities.

Prior to joining Schroders in 2012, he worked as an executive director and senior portfolio manager at UBS Global Asset Management.

High yield portfolio manager Peter Harvey and Daniel Pearson will take over Leidman’s responsibilities.

The Schroder ISF Global Credit Value fund returned 1% over one year versus the sector average of 0.5%.

A spokesperson for Schroders said: ‘We would like to thank Konstantin for his contribution.

‘Schroders has considerable strength and depth in credit. High yield portfolio managers Peter Harvey and Daniel Pearson have worked together very closely for the past 10 years. They will continue to apply our team approach, and we are confident that our clients will continue to receive excellent service.’

In September, Man GLG revealed that it recruited AA-rated Michael Scott from Schroders’ credit business. With Scott leaving in Q4, Leidman was slated to become co-manager on the Schroder High Yield Opportunities and the SISF Global High Yield funds.
