7IM hires Rathbones director to launch Jersey office

Seven Investment Management (7IM) has poached Rathbones director Grant Hamilton to head up a new office it will open in Jersey.

The firm has received regulatory approval for the office, which will open next week and be based in St Helier.

7IM already has an existing client base in Jersey, developed since the company was launched in 2002.

Hamilton spent more than three years as local director for Rathbones, having previously been Jersey head of private clients at Jupiter

The office will led by Hamilton alongside wealth managers Dominic Pallot and Annie Newman, with support from 7IM’s London office.

Head of private clients at 7IM Stewart Sanderson said: ‘It provides a physical presence to help us offer discretionary management alongside our suite of services, including Dublin domiciled active and actively managed passive funds, and an open architecture platform with custody arrangements in Jersey.

‘We continue to see strong demand in Jersey for our discretionary investment services and platform.

‘We feel Jersey is an important international centre and a key part of our long term strategic development.’
