Mark Burgess joined Columbia Threadneedle Asset Management Limited in November 2010 and took over as Columbia Threadneedle’s Chief Investment Officer in January 2011. He also chairs Columbia Threadneedle’s Asset Allocation Committee and is a Statutory Board Member. Prior to joining Columbia Threadneedle, Mark was Head of Equities at Legal & General Investment Management. Before joining LGIM, Mark held senior roles at Morgan Grenfell Asset Management and Deutsche Asset Management. He gained a degree in Economics and Philosophy from Keele University and is an associate of the Institute of Investment Management and Research."

Alex Lyle

Alex Lyle is a senior portfolio manager at Columbia Threadneedle Asset Management, a company which he has worked for in its various guises for more than 25 years. He joined Hambros Bank’s unit trust division in 1980, which was acquired by Allied Dunbar in 1981 and subsequently became part of Threadneedle which was bought by American Express in 2004. His AmEx Global Asset Allocation fund offers a very diverseifed portfolio with almost 200 holdings spread between high-quality stocks from the United States and developed countries overseas and high- and medium-quality government and corporate bonds.

Objective

To provide a return by way of capital growth.The Fund will invest at least two-thirds of its assets in funds managed or operated by companies in the Threadneedle group. These funds may investworldwide.The Fund will invest at least two-thirds of its assets in funds that invest in company shares, but also have some exposure to fixed income securities.The Fund may also hold cash, near cash and money market instruments.Up to 20% of the value of the Fund may be invested in funds that invest in derivatives for purposes other than Efficient Portfolio Management.
