Jonathan Platt

Jonathan Platt is in charge of overall asset allocation at Royal London Group. He is supported by RLAM’s fixed interest team. Platt brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the fixed interest team at RLAM. He joined the RLAM in 1985 and became head of fixed interest in 1992. Platt has been instrumental in overseeing the development of the fixed interest process and remains committed to the management of client portfolios. Platt has an MA degree in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University.

Shalin Shah

Shalin Shah joined Royal London Asset Management's Fixed Income team in 2008. Prior to becoming a credit fund manager Shah was involved in a variety of areas including liability-driven investment (LDI) product development and risk management. Before joining RLAM, Shah worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he was involved in advising clients on a variety of investment solutions, including LDI and strategic asset allocation. Shalin holds a BSc in mathematics, operational research, statistics and economics) from the University of Warwick and is a qualified actuary.

Objective

The investment objective of the Fund is to maximise investment return (predominantly income with some capital growth) over the medium to long term from a portfolio comprising mainly of corporate fixed interest securities.
