Wise makes an Informed Choice with new role

Cranleigh-based IFA Informed Choice has appointed Philip Wise as retirement income planning director.

Wise (pictured) joins from Skerritts in Brighton, having joined that firm as head of retirement income in 2016. Before this, he was managing director at Spofforths Financial Planning.

He is a chartered financial planner with more than 25 years’ experience providing financial planning and advice. His specific focus is on managing income withdrawals in retirement.

In the new role, Wise will be based in the firm’s newly opened Petersfield office, providing advice to clients across Hampshire and the south east, and will be working alongside financial planning director Shelley McCarthy.

Commenting on the appointment, Informed Choice director Nick Bamford said: ‘I have thought for a long time that he [Wise] would be a great fit for Informed Choice. He shares our values, which is very important.

Wise added: ‘I am looking forward to working with Informed Choice. I have known Nick for many years and, having met the rest of the Informed Choice team, I am excited to be working with people who have exceptional ability and share my professional values.’
