Town: Colchester

Number of active CF30 qualifications: 330

Home of the parachute regiment and hundreds of supporting soldiers, Colchester is also a hub of financial advice for clients in Essex. Important firms include WRS Fornham, but the town has also seen consolidation arrive in the form of Bellpenny and AFH, which have both bought financial businesses in the last ten years.

Town: Brighton

Brighton and neighbouring Hove, Shoreham and Worthing have a few notable NMA firms that attract clients from miles around. Swindon features several notable financial firms, one of which has featured regularly in the pages of NMA and on our website also. For many, Cheltenham will be synonymous with the existence of Sesame Bankhall, which had an office in the town, until the closure of its network saw its doors close for good in 2015. However, the town has also seen recent advice consolidation by national vertically integrated wealth manager Quilter, which purchased Cheltenham-based Eastgate Financial Management last year.

Fareham is home to Deep Blue Financial, whose co-directors Andrew Peters and Clive Corbett were featured in NMA's pages in 2012. Both men remain at the firm.
