Robo-adviser teams up with price comparison site for new app

Digital advice firm OpenMoney has teamed up with price comparison site uSwitch.com to offer clients recommendations on household bills.

OpenMoney, which rebranded from evestor last month, will launch an app in February 2019 along with uSwitch.com, giving its customers access to their financial position in one place, including their current accounts and credit cards.

Customers will be given recommendations on household bills, such as whether to switch energy providers. The app will sit alongside OpenMoney’s regulated online advice offering.

Initially mobile, broadband and utilities will be available with the OpenMoney- uSwitch.com service, with credit cards and insurance added later.

Anthony Morrow (pictured), OpenMoney chief executive, said the firm wants to help clients with their whole financial situation.

‘Whether this is by getting better deals on their household bills, reducing the amount of debt they have, building rainy day funds or making long-term investment decisions, we are there to help,’ he said.

‘What we have found is that people want pro-active advice on what to do with their money and without that then apathy can set-in.'
