Darlington-based outsourced paraplanning firm Para-Sols has welcomed yet another intake of graduate talent.
Following an assessment day last month in which 10 budding graduates vied for places on The Grad Scheme, the firm identified two ideal candidates: English and linguistics graduate Sunaina Khaylar (pictured) and history graduate Lee Hastie.
Khaylar only finished university two weeks before landing the job. At the end of the first week, she said in a company blog: ‘Having had no knowledge at all about financial services, I was worried about getting started but everyone here is really approachable.
‘I’ve been learning about pension schemes and getting used to data gathering, which is a lot of hard work.
Hastie said he was still getting used to the nine-to-five working lifestyle, but the office perks had helped him acclimatise.
‘Between the free pizza, Skype group banter and the office dogs, what’s not to love?’
