NextGen Planners to launch school for aspirational advisers

NextGen Planners to launch school for aspirational advisers

Financial planning group NextGen Planners will launch a training academy for advisers, with both classroom-based and online resources on offer for aspiring advisers.

As kids go back to school so will advisers, with the academy due to open its doors in September.

Its founders say the academy will support financial planners at four key stages of career development.

‘We have been speaking with Planners throughout the profession and there seems to be a real demand for quality, independent training at those points where careers can plateau,’ said Adam Carolan, NextGen Planners co-founder and director Cheshire-based advice firm Xentum.

‘We have started to address the first of these with our Foundation courses, which will train over 100 delegates in 2017 throughout the UK.  With the launch of the NextGen Academy, we will also be offering courses to develop skills further in the areas of financial planning, leadership and strategic management.’

To support the launch of the academy Adam Owen, a Personal Finance Society-accredited trainer, has been appointed to the NextGen board. Owen will oversee the development and delivery of the academy’s training content.

Owen (pictured) said: ‘I am delighted that following an amazing response to the foundation courses, we are able to extend the programme further.’

‘The long-term future of the profession depends on all generations communicating and working together and our intention is to deliver content that appeals to everyone whether they are at the beginning of their career, or looking to develop an exit strategy’.
