The first of a series of four workshops across four cities is set to get under way later this month, as part of a foundation course run by young adviser group NextGen Planners.
Edinburgh is the first to host on 27 March, with London, Bristol and Manchester following at different points throughout the year.
The first session, delivered by Personal Finance Society (PFS) learning and development specialist Adam Owen (pictured), will focus on communication. Aspiring financial planners will learn how to deal with difficult clients, communicate effectively, and produce positive outcomes from challenging situations.
Owen is a chartered fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and an accredited trainer for the Chartered Insurance Institute, PFS and National Skills Academy for Financial Services.
This first wave of workshops will be followed by three further sessions in each city, which will address how to apply communication skills to client meetings, client acquisition and sustaining client relationships.
