London-based HFMC Wealth helped raise more than £60,000 for two charities after sponsoring a money-can’t-buy track day. Veloce 2018 was held at Goodwood Motor Circuit and drew in 70 attendees. They were driven, or should we say thrown, around the track by a host of former racing drivers, including former Formula 1 world champion Damon Hill (pictured) and Le Mans winner Andy Wallace.
Guests enjoyed rides in legendary road and race cars, including the Pagani Zonda S Coupe, 1934 Alfa Romeo Monza 8C and 1930 Bentley Speed Six.
The £60,000 was split between Hope for Tomorrow, which uses mobile chemotherapy units to help bring treatment to cancer patients’ homes, and Wings for Life, which researches traumatic spinal cord injury.
HFMC private client director Marcus Carlton said the event combined ‘fun, memories and social responsibility. We will sponsor the event in 2019 and raise more money’.
