LGIM regional sales head moves to Chelmsford IFA

Changing career can be daunting, but it is made easier if you can follow in someone else’s footsteps.

Chelmsford-based advice firm TFP Financial Planning has recruited a Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) head of regional sales as a financial planner at the firm.

Dan Haylett will join TFP Financial Planning in September initially as a trainee adviser. He was attracted to TFP because the firm’s director, Casey Mills (pictured), made a similar switch from provider-business development manager (BDM) to adviser.

‘It is a really forward-thinking, dynamic and flexible business,’ said Haylett. ‘It is trying to do things a little differently in terms of fee structure and model. And having Casey’s support and knowhow for transitioning from the BDM world to the advice world is great.’

Haylett said he would be taking his financial planning exams in the summer prior to joining the firm. He hopes to become a qualified financial planner at the firm by the start of 2019.
