Jupiter Asset Management will be launching a UK version of John Chatfeild-Roberts' absolute return fund.
The UK-based version will continue to follow the same strategy and will be managed by the same team.
Jupiter Merlin Real Return has returned investors 31% over the three years to the end of March, compared to the peer group average of 23.7%.
The team also manages the £7.5 billion Jupiter Merlin fund of funds range, that saw £223.8 million in net outflows earlier this year.
The launch is slated for the second half of the year.
In October last year, the Merlin multi-manager team revealed details on how it gradually sold its interest in Neil Woodford's income fund.
Chatfeild-Roberts had first backed Woodford around 20 years ago when he was at Invesco Perpetual. However it emerged that it had pulled a £300 million stake from the flagship Woodford fund.
