Penzance-based Jacksons Wealth Management has strengthened its adviser team with a new recruit.
Stephen Squires will join the firm this month having previously been a self-employed adviser at Leeds-based network 2Plan.
Squires, who has also worked at Barclays and Santander, decided to make the move to Jacksons for the support of a local team.
Pete Matthew (pictured), managing director of Jacksons, said: ‘Steve was working down here but missed the camaraderie and the support of a local team.
‘We are a reasonably big practice now: we are six advisers with support staff, so he gets the support and ability to bounce ideas off the guys here in town rather than having to phone Leeds.’
Squires previously worked with Jacksons finance director, Roger Weeks, at the Co-operative Insurance Society.
He will be allowed to take his 100 clients with him to Jacksons.
