Partners Wealth Management partner Hilary Schofield has been named one of the top 50 most powerful people working part time or flexibly in the UK.

Flexible working consultants Timewise has compiled its seventh annual Power 50 Awards, published today, challenging the notion that part-time working is only for junior jobs, or for certain types of people.

This year’s list includes 10 people from a financial industry background, of which half are from financial services.

Schofield (pictured) said: ‘I am delighted to be recognised as one of the top 50 Power Returners. I would urge anyone who wishes to return to work after a career break to a client-facing role to make the leap and to consider retraining, whatever their age.’

She added while challenging, the career path to becoming a chartered IFA is ideal for flexible working.

Previously a food factory director, Schofield took an 11-year career break to bring up her children. A lack of suitable flexible roles made returning to work difficult, so she signed up for career coaching with recruitment and mentoring service Women Like Us and secured a return to work scheme within the profession. She now works part time as a partner at New Model Adviser® Top 100 firm Partners.

The awards are split into six categories: part-timers, climbers, job sharers, returners, founder and employers. Other winners include Royal London head of multi-asset Trevor Greetham and Lloyds Banking Group chief economic adviser Angus Armstrong.
