CISI on planning exams: we need to do more on ethics

The ethics element to advisers' training is not yet strong enough, according to this week's podcast guest, Jackie Lockie, head of financial planning at the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment

CISI on planning exams: we need to do more on ethics

We have come a long way since former MP Mark Hoban, who at the time was working in the Treasury, declared to the chagrin of the profession that advisers held qualifications equivalent to McDonald's workers.

There is always more to do though ('twas ever thus), so this week we are joined by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI's) head of financial planning Jackie Lockie, pictured left. If you do not know who she is already then you definitely should!

In this episode, we talk financial planning exams, ethics, standards, and, oh, did we mention? There is the usual weekly quiz.

You can listen to the full episode above, but please do subscribe to the podcast on iTunes if you like what we do.
